I wish I could have held to what I said about not talking about Zibbet anymore... I really do. But information keeps popping up and being brought to my attention that is just too interesting to ignore.
Yesterday I received an email with this link: http://pistachiomade.com/zibbet/ One of the things I found most fascinating is the mention of 10,000 shops...Hmm.... Then not long into it, the designer states they "looked at over 30 independent seller(s) and their shops"... So Zibbet's new design is based on over 30 sellers? Out of 10,000?
When I initially began selling on Zibbet, one of the things I liked the most about the platform was the ability to design my shop to my liking; i.e.; customizing colors, using widgets, etc. Now, other than the shop banner, it appears as though everything will look the same...generic. So much for branding. Independent sellers typically work hard to 'brand' themselves, and that is being taken away by more and more sites. Anyone notice the generic trend here? On the other hand, the new design does look nice and clean.
Another thing that didn't fail to escape my attention was that this site/person who wrote the above referenced article was not mentioned or shown in the newsletter about the rebuild ( http://www.icontactarchive.com/hOKtAFDEpx5im3fjU22xdaXhaek9R-hI?w=4).
Is that because this is simply design? I don't know...I am confused.
And just a note for those of you who continue to post links to things in the Zibbet Community Hub: The only people who can see where they lead are those who are members of the now hidden hub (which excludes even paying shop owners unless they give in and 'join').
Wow... just wow. Moving right along...
