At some point in our lives, we will all more than likely run into at least one. Is there a difference between a hypocrite and someone who changes their mind? I believe there is, and I think it lies in the fact that someone who changes their mind will simply tell you they did so when asked. A hypocrite, however, will not. There will be excuses galore and even attempts to cover initial statements. For example, recently the CEO at Zibbet made this statement in the forum to members who were questioning why the venue does not advertise:
An interesting viewpoint that got a little bit more interesting after former member David Mellunbruch of pdm photography continued to ask and posted the following previous statement by the same CEO:
It got more interesting when, not long after posting this in the forum, not only was David's membership to the 'community hub' revoked, but Zibbet closed his paid for Premium shop that still had three months left to it's subscription! You may be thinking that they gave him a pro-rated refund...keep thinking because they didn't! David is not the first and certainly will not be the last Zibbet shop owner that this happens to!
Why would the CEO not just say that he changed his mind? Why would you give 'das boot to a paying client instead? After all, Zibbet already had his money. Maybe, just maybe, the CEO did not change his mind after all! If advertising is a waste of money, WHY would ZIBBET be throwing money at sponsoring on online poker tournament? WHAT?!
Based on this definition alone, why would one want to associate this word with their business? Maybe it's a computer tech thing I don't understand, but still... not exactly a flattering description. Why would I mention this? Because Zibbet's CEO is also a co-founder of HackerLabs. Here is what they are sponsoring on July 18th:
The further you dig, the more you discover. You begin to see the names of some of the same organizations repeated in the maze. You also begin to see truths that are very quickly hidden or removed. Example: Recently a YouTube video link was posted on Twitter. The link was for a growth hacking video done by none other than the Zibbet/WooBoard CEO. Here is a screen shot of the tweet that brought the video to my attention:
Notice that the very next day, the video was GONE! POOF! Maybe Zibbet's CEO did not want people to know what he really thinks about the venue... or at least not Zibbet shop owners. If they saw this, there would undoubtedly be more difficult questions that he would have to try to answer. Following that would be another trail of people being given the boot, I'm sure.
The removal of the above mentioned video is not the first piece of information that has been deleted or hidden from public view, which is why many people take screen shots of things as soon as they see them. (Luckily, there aren't enough hand grenades in the world to get rid of all the 'dirt'.)
"Haters" -- this is how Zibbet classifies former community members and shop owners who are trying to bring the truth to the public eye. We have already been called 'bad humans' and been compared to someone who would commit a mass murder by one of the community members, and now this.
Although I find that alone alarming, what made the biggest impact on me was the fact that they wanted this individual to email them. Why email? Why not answer them right there in public? My guess, and it is only that, is that it is not an environment that they can control. Kind of like the previously public forum or 'community'... they keep it 'private' so they can prevent facts from being presented that may possibly cause a person to think for themselves. If you do present a fact, or ask questions that are too difficult, you are removed... it is that simple.
There are those who would greatly benefit from looking into any of this information to read it for themselves, but I know they won't. One day maybe they will understand that we are not trying to 'ruin it for them'...maybe they will see the light and realize that what has been stated all along is fact.
In the meantime, they would do best to STOP blaming those of us trying to get the truth out there and START blaming who is truly at fault! If these situations and facts were not available, they would not be presented in blogs like this one! WE are not creating the circus; we are merely shining a spotlight on it.
