1. secure checkout
That's right! There is no need for the security yet, as that is intended to be just that...security. MANY small business with websites do not use the security feature until you are at the actual checkout process, as you have not yet entered any personal information that needs to be protected. The next two photos will help clarify this.
2. Customer Service
When I first implemented the Testimonials page to this site, my husband asked if I would publish anything that wasn't positive. My answer if YES! Absolutely! He then asked if that wouldn't defeat the purpose. Well, no, it won't. In my opinion, if I want customers to leave honest feedback for me, I need to be honest with them. Censoring out the negative would nullify the entire process.
I learned this lesson the hard way, through my selling experiences over the years at eBay. When I began selling there, I did not do it as a business; it was a way to get rid of things I no longer collected or needed. It is quite the testament to the state of humanity when a person who wants to clear some things out of their garage has to think of all the ways they could possibly be scammed and try to be pro-active in preventing it.
The point: the wording states what it does for a reason, so I always make sure I read and agree with it before making a purchase.
